I'm working really hard on one of my books right now & I need some help! So, if you could please leave comments here about what you would do if you found out you had only a few months left to live. What would you do? What sort of things would you want to see?
Things to keep in mind:
+ These things must be inexpensive
+ These things have to be able to happen in a small suburb. Which isn't that hard, just, not something that belongs in big cities.
+ The odder, the better. I like small town oddities.
+ My characters are all about 19 years old
Thanks in advance, this will really help my research. I'm planning on a lot of research trips with my writer friend Jessica (you may remember her from my NaNoWriMo 07 interviews) to really get a feel for this book. The first is a trip to the local forest preserve, which will play a part in the story, and serves the double purpose of getting my friend to see it as she's never been. Other crazier trips are in the planning stages, as well as looking into tattoos (though my character only ever thinks about it).

I'd hook up with a missions agency and travel to one of the most anti-christian countries in the world as a missionary. (unless I already had a family to take care of then I'd do my best to write down things that I'd learned and my memories for them so that they wouldn't miss me so much when I was gone)
I'd probably cope with it in the following stages:
1. Be shocked.
2. Cry.
3. Remember God.
4. Pray.
5. Say good-bye.
6. Sink into depression.
7. Remember God again. (Terrible how ofte I forget Him.)
8. Evaluate life in general, my life, death, and the dying process.
9. Eventually learn to accept what's coming.
10. Wait and do what the Lord indicates for me to do with what little remains of my existance on earth.
That's basically a rough outline of what I can see myself doing. This sounds like it should be interesting.
OK- sad topic Jez but here are a few ideas- go to a park and swim in a lake. Ask the guy I'd always fancied to go out with me. Go to the most expensive restaurant in town. And more.....
It's your lucky day- you have been tagged- sorry! Details on my blog
Hi Jez,
I tried to tag you too but, Jude beat me to it again!
